Have you changed your vacation plans due to rising gas prices?

DH and I were planning on going to Colorado for vacation this year, but have changed our plans due to the rising gas prices.

Just wondering if others are changing their vacation plans due to gas prices?

We haven't but my Mom and Dad are thinking about it. They were planning on going to Myrtle Beach for a week, and driving down from RI. But with gas prices so high, they are thinking of cancelling the trip.

I can't remember the last time we took a vacation. So, I will have to say no, it won't change our plans. Mom and Dad are taking DD and nephew for a weekend in Arkansas and are driving and so far, have kept to the plan. But, if the price gets too high by mid-June they may reconsider.

Nope, we too have plans to go to Myrtle Beach (driving down from MA) and haven't scrapped the plans. Driving is still so much cheaper than flying and we have to drive everywhere anyways because of the two dogs.

I've never been to Myrtle Beach and this may be my only chance to go! Not giving that up. DH has worked enough overtime to make up for the high gas prices.

Yep. First Mexico, then San Diego, now we are going 60 miles up the road. Stupid gas prices!

LOL 76Chick... that's a bummer! We went to Mexico last year and it was absolutely gorgeous. I would love to go back soon!

Our plans (one family trip to FL, one couple trip to St. Maarten) remain the same. We had already saved the $$ in our vacation fund, and made airline reservations, so it would cost more to change (though I wouldn't have changed them). Might have to reconfigure gas prices and put a little more to cover it.

I have. I wanted to take 2 trips this summer to Arizona and Georgia. Now it's just Arizona. Luckily I got a nice price on a ticket but I think that'll be it for this summer.
