1st No Spend Day

January 5th, 2007 at 10:33 pm

Well, it looks like I'm going to finally have my first No Spend Day.

I mentioned in my previous post that the grocery store is usually what keeps me from having a no spend day.

I made it through today without going to the grocery store, but I'll definitely have to go tomorrow, cuz the Chiefs made the playoffs and we plan on grilling up some good chow for the game (even though I don't think anyone expects us to beat the Colts)!

Anyway... I'm excited about my first No Spend Day and am looking forward to many, many more No Spend Days in the future!

I'm with you. If I can stay out of the grocery store, it's a big help. Right now everything is 75% off on holiday items and it's tempting to buy this stuff. Today, I bought 3 bags of bows for .17 each. You can use them for anytime of the year.

I see..... a Kansas City fan. Glad old Dickie V finally really retired!! :-) We are on the opposite end of Missouri..... Rams country. Don't laugh, I know they stunk this year! Breaking in the new coach!
Glad to see you have been able to find a career that you seem to love and can help others with too! Sounds great!
Oh, and congrats on the no spender! Ain't they fun??

And I'm a Colts fan! Well, sort of. I'm not really into sports, but I WOULD be a Colts fan if I were!

great job! I find it really helps to try to stay out of the grocery store as much as possible. Of course, it doesn't always happen that way, but if I can swing it, I do one big shopping trip after payday & then another smaller one for extra veggies & stuff the next week. I also try to plan food, which definately helps. But if theres a good sale or I have a craving, I make an extra trip Smile
